Activision announced today that the Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy has passed the 20M unit sales milestone. The game first launched in 2017 on the PlayStation 4 with releases on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC following in 2018. The publisher revealed in 2019 that the Trilogy had sold 10 million units, which it said highlighted the “enduring nature of Activision’s classic franchises.”

The Crash Bandicoot series has seen a resurgence since the launch of the N. Sane Trilogy. Activision also launched a remake of Crash Team Racing, called Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, in 2019. The following year it published an entirely new Crash title, a sequel to the trilogy called Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. Other titles include 2021’s Crash Bandicoot: On the Run, a mobile endless runner, and 2023’s Crash Team Rumble, a 4v4 online multiplayer title that received its final update in March.

The Trilogy’s original developer, Vicarious Visions, has since been renamed as Blizzard Albany and co-developed last year’s Diablo IV. Crash 4 developer Toys for Bob has spun off from Activision and is working on its first independent project. It’s not clear whether or not Activision has plans for Crash in the immediate future.
